American Pharmacists Association Designates Gregory A. Fox as Treasurer
The American Pharmacists Association Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of Gregory A. Fox, BSPharm, as Association Treasurer. Fox, of Carmel, IN., will serve as Treasurer-Designate until his term officially begins on January 1, 2019. During this transition time, he will work with current Treasurer Tery Baskin, PharmD, FAPhA, and APhA staff to gain a full understanding of APhA’s budget, financial operations, and issues.
“APhA and the APhA Board of Trustees congratulate Greg on his new position with the Board,” stated Nicki Hilliard, PharmD, FAPhA, APhA President. “Greg is a great choice to succeed the excellent work of Tery Baskin in ensuring APhA continues to be a financially sound and fiscally responsible organization that maximizes the return on its resources. We are excited to have his extensive financial and pharmacy practice knowledge brought to APhA and its Board operations.”
Fox will be responsible for overseeing the Association’s annual budget. The Treasurer monitors and evaluates the Association’s finances, reports on APhA financial status and makes recommendations to the APhA Board of Trustees. This may include advising the APhA Board on financial and investment policies, approving the management of APhA finances and making an annual financial report to Association membership.
Fox brings over 35 years of pharmacy management, advocacy and association involvement to APhA. He has spent his career striving to expand the role of pharmacists in patient care, while dedicating himself to delivering outstanding and meaningful patient care services that serve the needs of communities and practice sites.
Fox is currently Health and Wellness Merchandiser for The Kroger Co., responsible for the day to day operations of a Kroger division of 121 locations, and strategy for the development, staffing and delivery of current and expanding patient care services.
Fox is a former APhA Board of Trustee Member (2014-2017), and Past President of the Ohio Pharmacists Association. He has been an active participant in schools and colleges of pharmacy, as well as pharmacy associations, within Indiana and Ohio. Fox earned a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati in 1983.
