Pharmacists are medication experts. As pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians, we know the immeasurable importance of our training and work. But do our elected officials and other decision makers really understand how our role is evolving and our value to the health care system? That’s where advocacy comes in! Advocacy means taking meaningful, specific action to make sure members of the government and those around them are educated about pharmacy issues and our concerns and priorities as pharmacists.
