Wall Street Journal letter on pain patients and DEA

Here's another interesting observation from a letter in today’s Wall Street Journal, “The DEA’s War On Pharmacies—and Pain Patients.” I know pharmacists every day deal with the challenges of wanting to take care of patients while not incurring the scrutiny, let alone ire, of regulators for dispensing “too much.”

The writer, Scott Gottlieb, is a physician who used to work at CMS and FDA and now works at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington, DC. I thought his letter was balanced, measured, and thought provoking. It struck a chord with me. How about you?
