Those of you who know me have probably heard me fit lyrics of old songs to current situations. It is almost reflexive, as I grew up listening to a lot of music in the 1960s and 1970s, when we didn’t watch music, we listened.

“There’s something happening here” is the lead line in this Buffalo Springfield song, “For What It’s Worth.” It reminds me of our current provider status efforts. Just one of the many things happening is the progress being made in the Senate to introduce legislation to benefit patients. You know our Patient Access to Pharmacists’ Care Coalition was effective in getting a House bill (H.R. 4190) introduced that will give Medicare beneficiaries access to pharmacists’ services. As of today, we have 54 cosponsors! We’re getting closer in the Senate to a bipartisan companion bill. That’s about all we can say at the moment, but please keep the letters of support flowing to your Members of Congress (you can use this letter tool). There’s DEFINITELY something happening here!
