Drum roll, please: Unveiling updated APhA journal websites

A few months ago we announced that Elsevier was named the exclusive publisher, promoter and distributor of APhA’s publications: Pharmacy Today, Journal of the American Pharmacists Association, and Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

I’m thrilled to share with you that as part of that collaboration, we have updated our websites for the two APhA peer-reviewed journals.

The fresh design offers the same URLs (JAPhA.org and JPharmSci.org) but with a bright new layout, a graphically pleasing interface, and feature-rich tools. The new design provides readers with increased usability and utility. And for you history buffs, we are adding content that goes all the way back to the early 1900s.

The improvements don’t stop there, and we have much more in store for you. Through our collaboration with Elsevier, we hope to offer a range of enhancements to APhA members, including interactive and multimedia features within articles, links to services to allow authors to monitor the impact and usage of their articles, and metrics to evaluate the global impact of the publications. A mobile app also will be developed to enable access to all three publications via smartphone and tablet devices.

I invite you to check it out JAPhA.org and JPharmSci.org and see what’s new! And Pharmacy Today fans, stay tuned. An updated website is on its way.
