100 cosponsors of H.R. 4190!

Today, the Patient Access to Pharmacists’ Care Coalition (PAPCC) announced the milestone of 100 cosponsors of H.R. 4190 had been met. We extend our hearty congratulations to the many folks who have been a part of this effort, especially the government affairs teams of the members of the PAPCC who have worked tirelessly, and TOGETHER, to build the momentum. We’re not done, of course, as we still must secure passage, and we need a similar companion bill in the Senate, but that work is under way.

Sometimes it’s just obvious when the time is right for an idea to be adopted as public policy. It would seem that time is now for H.R. 4190, which would provide medically underserved Medicare patients access to pharmacists’ services! Based on the rapid bipartisan support by 100 Members of Congress, we’re on our way to the good idea becoming good public policy.

I know our teams, and the thousands of pharmacists who are getting personally involved, won’t rest until we pass this legislation! We’ll pause to relish this moment, and then get back to the good work of making pharmacists’ services accessible to those who need us most.
