A ‘sea of white’ at the University of St. Joseph School of Pharmacy

I recently had the privilege to offer comments at the University of St. Joseph School of Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony that recognized the Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2018.

It is always such a treat to participate at the beginning of student pharmacists’ journey, and the event in Hartford, CT, was no exception. After receiving their coats, the 88 doctoral students, in unison, recited an oath, which stressed the importance of professionalism, ethics, and values.

Thanks to my host, Dean Joseph Ofosu, President Rhona Free, Provost Michelle Kalis, faculty, and students for giving me such a warm reception!

Let me use this moment to wish all the incoming P1 students at the University of St. Joseph School of Pharmacy and at schools of pharmacy across the country an equally warm welcome to our profession. We’re here for you!
