Loss of former APhA leader Tom Foster

On Thursday, we learned of the passing of former APhA Trustee Thomas Foster, who served as a leader and faculty member at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy for more than 40 years.

I had the privilege of working with Tom while he was an APhA board member during my first tour of duty as a staffer in the late 1980s. What I remember most was his constant smile and wonderful outlook on life!

During his career, Tom gained national and international recognition for his work, not only with us, but also with USP and other organizations.

The funeral is being held this afternoon in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Memorial Hall (610 S. Limestone Street, Lexington, KY 40506-0049).

Times are noon to 2:30 p.m. for meeting friends and the memorial service at 2:30 p.m.

If you wish to send a card or note of condolence to his family, it may be addressed to his wife as follows:
Marijo Foster
2221 South Elkhorn Road
Nicholasville, KY 40356

Please keep Tom’s family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
